Okay, so my new thing is crawling. It is super fun and I can go anywhere I want in the whole house. I am not great at it yet but I practice all of the time, so I should be able to outrun mom and dad pretty soon. I also love my BFF Lilly. I love her house, I love her toys, I even love her water! Mom and Dad try really hard to make me belly laugh and I might slip out a giggle or two for them...but I only really laugh for Lilly. I think it's hilarious when she tries to play with me and when she runs circles around me! Love Anna

Matt and I got back from Phoenix last night. We had a wonderful trip out west to celebrate Craig and Vic's wedding. We started out with a group dinner to Oregano's on Thursday night. Craig and Vic were busy spending time with their families, but that didn't stop all of us friends from having a great time out. We had yummy pizza and tried to stay warm on the patio considering the very unseasonable weather (rain and 60 degree temps) The boys played golf on Friday while the girls shopped, spa-ed and relaxed. A great time was had by all on Friday night for the rehearsal dinner. We boarded a bus for quick ride to a Mexican cantina. We ate (and ate and ate) chips, salsa, guacamole, quesadillas, salad, tortilla soup, fajitas and apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream to top it all off! Did I mention the margaritas? Those were fabulous too! We ended at Bar-celona dancing the night away while listening to a great band. I think I can say for all of us...Friday night was a lot of fun. Most spent Saturday recovering and relaxing. Matt and I headed to the spa for massages in the morning (it was Matt's first massage, I think he approves!) and then hit the pool deck for a few hours in the afternoon. The weather was still ify so we weren't able to sun ourselves, but it was nice to be outside after a few days spent inside because of rain. The weather was so-so for the majority of the trip, but the sky cleared within hours before the ceremony. The wedding was lovely...set out on the lawn in front of a view of the valley. Vic looked great and Craig was calm at the alter. We had cocktails and niblets on the patio...moving inside for dinner and dancing. Thank you to the Johnston and Riebe families for hosting us for this wonderful celebration, and a huge congratulations to Craig and Vic!

She has a few new tricks up her sleeves these days. Crawling and sitting up in her crib. The first is major news around our house. It happened on Saturday when my grandparents were in town visiting, so it was fun that they were here to witness such a huge milestone. Oh my, our lives are about to change in a major way! She hasn't perfected it yet, but she is on the move and we will soon be chasing her down. Phew, I am tired just thinking about it and writing about it. Along with the crawling, she has figured out how to get herself into a sitting position from laying down. Imagine my surprise when I walked into her room to get her up from a nap and she was just sitting there waiting for me.
We are headed to the Craig and Vic wedding in Phoenix this weekend and we are going baby-less! We are super excited to celebrate the wedding with all our friends, it should be a great time. And we get to party like we are 'fresh out of college' Ha! I don't know how much partying will happen...but at least we won't have to worry about getting up with Anna at the crack of dawn each day. Anna is spending the weekend with my mom. I do plan on sleeping in, having some lounge time by the pool and... maybe a trip to the resort spa is in order!

We recently started bathing Anna in our bathtub. She was splashing up a storm and soaking everything in our kitchen...walls, cabinets, window, counter top...so we knew it was time to give her more room. She loves the big tub and all the water toys she gets to play with now.

Well, this is my second post since the family blog was established last June or July. My first post was about the Cubs.....and guess what? This post is also about the Cubs.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet the Chicago Cubs and I have to say it was pretty cool. For a small donation to Cubs charity, fans were allowed to walk on the field, take pictures along the ivy/field and meet the team for autographs. All of the players were pretty cool and down to earth but I have to say that Wood, Theriot, Fukudome and Pinella were the best. To top it all off, I also went to the game last night. The only problem is that the Cubs lost. Maybe their hands were sore from all the autographs.

We had a great mom's weekend celebration. Claudia and Mike were up for the weekend and helped us out yesterday by watching Anna while Matt and I participated in a condo cleanup day. We painted, planted, weeded, swept, washed...you name it, we did it (and today we are paying the price with achy muscles and tired bodies!) We wrapped up the day with 5pm church and a great dinner out. Today Matt and I hosted Claudia, Mike, and my mom for brunch. Anna sat at the table with us and munched on the french toast casserole, and I think she really enjoyed it. She got a lot of good practice picking up food and getting it into her mouth. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying our Anna Banana.
